Earth Harp at ArtPrize

On September 18, ArtPrize opens with a one-of-a-kind performance as the Earth Harp transforms the Pearl Street Bridge into an immersive musical experience. Created by William Close and recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest playable stringed instrument, the Earth Harp will turn downtown Grand Rapids into a symphony unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

Featuring the world’s longest stringed instrument stretched across the Pearl Street Bridge, Earth Harp transforms the space into an immersive experience of sound, connection, and wonder. The evening continues with fireworks over the Grand River, officially launching ArtPrize. 5:30 PM — Kickoff @ Rosa Parks Circle 7 PM — Parade leaves Rosa Parks Circle March with us! Find the parade route on the ArtPrize map. 8:30 PM — Earth Harp @ Pearl Street Bridge At the end of the parade route, enjoy music, drinks and time to gather before the performance. 9:30 PM — Fireworks
