2026 Fourth of July Events around Kent County

Here’s a round up of family-friendly Fourth of July Events in Kent County:

 Ada: Ada offers a day full of festivities, including a pancake breakfast, children’s bike parade, main parade, float competition, classic car show, children’s activities, live music and fireworks at dusk. July 4th.  https://www.adamichigan.org/business_detail_T12_R21.php 

Allendale: The Allendale Fourth of July Celebration features a 10am parade, activities in Allendale Township Park from 11am-2pm and fireworks starting at 10:15pm. July 4th.  https://www.facebook.com/share/18qLgnyiwD/

 Cascade: The Cascade Township Independence Day Celebration starts with an 8:30 am bike parade, which is followed by a community parade and a festival in Friendship Park featuring inflatables, food trucks, live music, crafts and more. 

Downtown GR: Downtown Grand Rapids Celebration: The City of Grand Rapids shifts its main fireworks show to the Fulton Street Bridge, with an official viewing party and activities located at the Amway Hotel’s employee parking lot at 51 Market Avenue SW. 

 East GR: East Grand Rapids kicks off July 4 with a noon parade, followed by kids’ activities, food trucks and a water ski show on Reeds Lake. The celebration ramps up with live music from 8 ‘til dusk, when the fireworks begin. July 4.  https://www.eastgrmi.gov/182/4th-of-July-Celebration 

 Grandville: Grandville’s Independence Day Celebration includes a parade, arts & crafts show, food vendors, kid’s activities, live music and fireworks. July 4th.  https://www.cityofgrandville.com/our_community/community_events/4th_of_july_celebration.php 

 Kentwood: The Kentwood 4th of July Celebration starts with a pancake breakfast and extends throughout the day with a 5k race/fun walk, parade, carnival, food trucks, a beer tent, live music and fireworks. July 4th. https://www.kentwood.us/events_detail_T53_R63.php 

 Ottawa Hills: Ottawa Hills hosts its 92nd Annual Hollyhock Lane Parade – the oldest Independence Day parade in Michigan – on July 4 at 8:30am. https://www.ottawahillsgr.org/hollyhock-lane-parade or  https://hollyhockparade.org/
